Gazi University brings the First Gold Medal to Türkiye in the "2022 FISU University World Cup Combat Sports" in the Sambo competition.
In the "2022 FISU University World Cup Combat Sports" organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) in Samsun between September 21- 30, 2022, our university student Merve Topoğlu won Türkiye's first gold medal in the Sambo competition.
In the "2022 FISU University World Cup Combat Sports" which was included in the FISU calendar for the first time and consisted of 6 sports (Boxing, Karate, Muaythai, Sambo, Wrestling, Wushu) our student Merve Topoğlu, who competed in the Sambo competition in the women's Sambo 72 kg category, won the gold medal. The medal was presented to our student by the President of the Turkish University Sports Federation and Gazi University Faculty of Sports Sciences Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gunay. We congratulate our student and wish her continued success
